Noun- Noun is naming word. It is name of a person, place, animals, creature, quality, action, things

Idea , etc. Example: Amit, cow, London, snake, honesty, pen etc.

संज्ञा -किसी भी  व्यक्ति, स्थान, जानवर, वस्तु, विचार ,इत्यादि के नाम को संज्ञा कहतें हैं।  जैसे : अमित, दिल्ली, हांथी, कलम, इत्यादि।

There are five kinds of noun in English grammar.

संज्ञा के पांच प्रकार हैं।

• Proper Noun (व्यक्तिवाचक संज्ञा )
• Common Noun (जातिवाचक संज्ञा )
• Collective Noun (समूहवाचक संज्ञा )
• Material Noun (द्रववाचक संज्ञा )
• Abstract Noun (भाववाचक संज्ञा )

 

1) Proper Noun (व्यक्तिवाचक संज्ञा ) –A Noun which belongs to a particular or individual name, person, place or thing is called as proper noun.
जो किसी भी व्यक्ति, स्थान या वस्तु का बोध होता है या   कराता है, उसे व्यक्तिवाचक संज्ञा  कहते है।
Example- Mumbai ,Rahul, kitab etc.

हिमालय एक ऊँची पर्वत है।

राहुल किताब पढ़ रहा है।

जमीन गीली है।

मीरा अच्छी गति है।

 

इसमें सिर्फ किसी एक या किसी खास की बोध हो रहा है।

 

2) Common Noun (जातिवाचक संज्ञा )-Common nouns are the words which name the place, people, things etc but they denoted the whole of those.
वह नाम जो पुरे जाती भर का बोध हो या बोध कराता हो उसे जातिवाचक संज्ञा कहतें हैं।

Example: Elephant, animal, boy, girl etc.

लडके कड़क स्वभाव के होतें हैं।

लड़कियां सुन्दर होती है।

पशु जांगल में रहतें हैं।

हांथी के कान बड़े होतें हैं।

 

यंहा पर आप देखेंगे की किसी  एक विशेस की बात नहीं हो रही है , बल्कि पुरे जाती भर का बोध हो रहा है।

3) Collective Noun (समूहवाचक संज्ञा )-Collective Noun denotes the group of creatures, places or things.
वह संज्ञा जिससे पूरे समूह का बोध हो उसे समूहवाचक संज्ञा कहते है।

Example:
Bheed (भीड़) – Crowd
Bunch (गुच्छा ) – Bunch

Market(बाजार)

मॉल में बहुत भीड़ है.
अंगूर का गुच्छा।

4) Material Noun (द्रववाचक संज्ञा )-Nouns that refer to the names of a liquid or matter is called as material noun.
वैसे संज्ञा जिसे नापा या टोला जा सके , जिसकी गिनती करना संभव नहीं हो।

Milk, Gold, Water,

Example:
उनका गुस्सा कोई सीमा नहीं जानता ।

सोना बहुत महंगा है।

दूध पीना सेहत के लिए फायदेमंद होता है।

5) Abstract Noun (भाववाचक संज्ञा )-Abstract Noun is something that we can‟t touch or see; we can only feel it.
वैसा संज्ञा जिसका रूप और आकार नही होता  है जिसे हम छू नहीं सकतें हैं केवल  गुण  का आभास होता है उसे समूहवाचक संज्ञा कहते है।

Example:
Beauty
Kind
Honest

आलिया बहुत सुन्दर है।

उसकी ईमानदारी कबीले तारीफ है।

हमारी सच्चाई हमें महान बनती है।
